Rose beds

Above: Hybrid Musk rose Lavender Lassie.

Above: Taken early October prior to the start of the Spring flush, the bed to the left comprises of Austins, while the one on the right is Cousin Essie and John Clare.

Above: Madam Gregoire Staechelin is planted with wisterias on either side of the front verandah entrance, along with several cutting-grown teas whose names I forget, with the exception of Safrano.

Above: In the foreground is the lovely striped Bourbon Honorine de Brabant, sharing a bed with Fruhlingsduft.

Above: Two beautiful understocks that are always welcome in my garden (unlike the evil Dr. Huey!) are Indica Major and this multiflora which has been identified as 'Roy Rumsey's Multiflora'.

Above: Bourbon Queen

Above: Sparrieshoop in the foreground; Mme Isaac Pereire on the arch followed by 2 big arching shrubs of Lucetta and a Dr. Huey making a garish statement between the pair.

Above: Lavender Lassie; Sombreuil and Red Coat.
